Hollow Cap

The players that we have given this prototype recent months have enjoyed playing with.
That is why we propose a small amount in our shop soon to get feedback on a larger scale.

This allows us to offer capped heads (or nearly cap haha) from approximately:
75/80/85/90 grams

Pros: lighter, more balanced
Con: No more “euro-pop”
Protip: If you have a 32mm drill bit you can do it yourself :)

Note: Hollow cap saves 4g on the Simple Cap (90->86g) and 6g on the Ninja Cap (80->74g)
Note 2: Credit to Clément Bailat for the name

New MILK Heads in stock now

Back in october Call Me Daddy ask us to pre-drilled their heads to improve their life. Improving the life of our head was our original goal with the pre-marks: just make new holes and turn the head when it start to worn.

the fact is that it is not so easy to make yourself new holes, even with markings you need tools and skills. That is why we decided to produce our heads with 3 positions for the stick.

You can grab the PDF of the MILK instructions for more information here (PDF link)

Same price, lasts longer. (Do not laugh, every minute more in the CNC costs money, and more holes, it is a minute longer. True story)

Check them in the store now:

Dont forget to use these codes if you make bluk order more than CHF 500: 2013MILK10, 2013MILK15, 2013MILK20 (-10,15,20%)

A few words from Lefty Will from Call Me Daddy:

I started my pre-drill MILK to save weight and to be able to rotate approximately every two weeks so they wear on 3 sides instead of one. My heads have a life of 6 months because of that. MILK today offers its heads directly pre-drilled, players will save time and their heads will last longer, it’s great.

At least but not least, a salacious drawing :D

Upcoming new 2013 series heads

Coming this week, the Ninja Cap and Simple Cap 2013 edition with 3 positions out of the box.

We know that a lot of player already turn their head to make them last longer, (it is why we pre-marked all of our head since the beginning) but drilling is not that easy and require some tools and skills.

It is why we are pleased to present you our updated caped heads!

Last longer, same price.

Check the sample of the MILK instructions below for more information.

New light shaft!

We added a new Light shaft to our range of sticks and renamed our current one Tough.

The new Light shafts are 0.9 mm thick, we found that this thickness is a good compromise between weight and durability.
The shaft weight 120g for 100cm (mounting kit included).

In comparison our Tough shaft is 1.15 mm thick and weight 155g for 100cm.

Like what we did for our Tough one (the Rik’s poles), we chose a shaft which has proven to be the best in his category. Players use it for a while and they love it.

All of our shaft are made in EU and comes with an mounting kit installed.

You can already found them in the shop.

Notes:
- for now the light shaft comes in raw but we planned to have them anodized in the future.
- we will have tough shaft back in anodized colors too.
- Our updated 2013 heads will be soon in the shop.

Happy new year + MILK one year anniversary !

Hi everyone and happy new year 2013 !

It has also been one year since we started shipping our first mallets and we would like to thanks everybody involve and the all bike polo community for their trust and their great encouragement.

Back in early 2012 we launched our Simple and Simple Cap models heads, the feedback was great and helps a lot to keep us motivated for trying to make the best mallet we can.

And as we where inspired by others before we also think that our “cap in the mass” uhmw models have inspired some great products all around the world, which is really good for the sport. Better products, better polo.

Keep in touch for 2013 and see you on the court!

Call Me Daddy pro-model heads

A strong request from the World-Euro-France-pickup-chifoumi champions Call Me Daddy was to be able to turn their MILK heads quickly to wears them in a good way and make them last longer.

Patrick spend some time making two more shaft holes in the Simple Cap head, their heads have now 3 ready to mount positions (remember, the head are already pre-marked since our first batch to let you do that too):

We will see how it goes, can’t wait for their feedback!

Thanks to slave Patou :)

News!

Hello players!

First, we would like to thank the polo community who make our adventure possible, we love create things to improve our game and if you love them too it’s even better!

Some news about the upcoming updates of our products, website and more that are coming within the next days (end of this week):

We will add two heads to our collection: the NINJA and NINJA CAP
Made in black UHMW it’s an ultra light version of our classic SIMPLE model, we have already tested them this summer and the feedback are great so far.

The NINJA is only 72g and the NINJA Cap 80g!
To manage to save the 10 grams the outer diameter is 60.3mm ( 63mm for the SIMPLE model) :

New shafts colors: red/blue/black.
The shafts are anodized, that mean there’s no additional layer of paint, the weight remain the same as our raw model (more pictures in the gallery):

We will launch a new online store, to make it easier for everbody:

At last but not least: we will increase some prices and especially our heads, from CHF 25.- to CHF 30.- We need to make this price changes because of the following reasons:

  • We want to sponsor more tournaments
  • We want to sponsor Teams
  • To make new products (like the NINJA or anodized shafts)
  • To have a margin for distributors (ask us for more information)
  • To make cool drawings:
  • I’m kidding, your are not actually being charged for those :D
In other words, despite its volunteer designers we need to increase the margin on the heads to allow MILK to evolve and become a true partner of the polo scene (as said, sponsoring teams, tournament, promote distribution, new parts, etc. etc.)

Thank for your support and see you on the court!

The MILK team
